I stumbled across Sean Murphy photography, http://www.seanmurphyphoto.com/ I remember when I did photography at school I had a assignment to research a photographer and I chose Sean Murphy, I recall emailing him and getting a reply, I love his work.

Before I decided to dive into animation another passion I have is photography, I still get out and about occasionally but not as much as I used to, I think the fact that it was a subject at school I kept continuing with it, but now that I don't have the facilities I have lost interest you see I used to do film photography oh how I begged my dad to build me a shack out the back to have my very own dark room, I think you can still get your hands on the chemicals but not as easy as it used to be with digital taking over and dominating the percentage of what people use the most.

Not did I only enjoy taking the photo's but developing them yourself was enjoyable, I dabled in black and white photography and in year 12 did 7 piece series based on the urban environment/bikes... I loved most riding around with my camera and snapping shots on sunny/during day light saving where the streets where empty, free and the day was coming to a end.

I actually recall wanting to apply for PSC (think its photo studies college), I blame my slack self for not seeing careers councilors during my last years of high school, I always knew I wanted to be in a creative field but where? I was unsure, I was passionate about Photography and Media and in media had the chance to complete a animation for my major, in the end I combined the two in ways, most interested in stop motion which requires photography.

But I am so glad I am doing what I am doing, it feels right, it gets me excited, drives me, and most of all it's challenging and fun, enjoying what you do is the key to happiness.

Busy..

Been busy and feeling quite ill, I don't know what or why, but sore back and headaches just won't go away, I can't function 100% feeling ill. Today I was so desperate I went got my back massaged at those walk in massage places.

I have also been trying to finish off my minor for this year and also writing a script, reading about scripts and just diving back into drawing which I don't do enough of, I am not a strong drawer so practice I shall.

Also can't help but think about next year, planning and finding out what I would like to do for my major, ideas, characters, story, I'm running out of paper and ink. This year I am kicking myself because I know I could of done better and am annoyed at myself, I hope I won't repeat the mistake of not giving it my all again.


After my minor is complete and handed in I really would love to go back and see my family and kitty, especially kitty and be surrounded by the people I love, Melbourne is lonely.

Ideas are flowing through my brain...

Been thinking.

I've tried to learn a instrument before... guitar, I have one, Epiphone sg cherry red and my dad has a Fender Acoustic and I've never put the time and effort or practice to become any good, oh and in year 9 I asked mum and dad for lessons but they were to expensive (my school was a bit $$$$) and yeah I only had about 10, I learned off my dads Acoustic because I did not have the sg at the time, I bought that with my paper round money, didn't get much either 3 days a week $20 kept you fit, which was good.
The point is enough is enough before I die and decay in the ground I want to be able to know a little bit about music.
An I think starting off with piano/key board would be a good start, a friend of mine she learned piano when she was younger, I would watch and be amazed. I am looking at getting keyboard in the future.
Also it would be fantastic to be able to make your own music for your animations.

I haven't had time for other creative projects on the side :(
I did renovate where I am living now painted my room some of the spare room stair rails, it was a lot of work, and one feature blue wall in each room :D
I quite enjoy whom ever made feature walls popular they just bring so much more to a room :)

I hope by the end of November I'll be back on the creative wagon or at least have my note pads and creative journals spewing out words from the pages.

Next year is going to be great getting to do a major, I still don't know what I would to do just yet, aiming for another stop motion and well learning from the mistakes I have made from the one I am in the process of finishing now.

I guess my spark for stop motion lays with influence of one man, Nick Park, seeing Wallace and Gromit, oh my how that was my favorite! I wanted to be him do what he does, make my own little plasticine characters and maybe one day work in the industry,
But I do have a job in the industry writing scripts and oh boy do I love it, a dream come true over the moon about the job I have landed it's so challenging which is a good thing because it keeps you thinking, this job is in Melbourne and also in Morwell but Morwell 10minutes away from my hometown where my life WAS... and sometimes wish it still was but you have to chase opportunities and there in the big smoke where I am located now because of study.
I would love to maintain working for whom I work for and maybe move back to where I grew up, and possibly do a diploma in education to one day eventually become a teacher, teaching what? Teaching Media, depends on what happens in the future and everything but there some little goals I have implanted in my brain, I don't even know or think I'm that great with people let alone children, short courses in need? oh I think so.

The future scary in ways, exciting and can be disappointing if the things you aim for don't hit the target.
But that is life, and oh how I am loving and enjoying life.
